5 Gin Cocktails Perfect for Valentine's Day

It's almost Valentine's Day! Forget the Champagne, here are some delicious red gin cocktails to try with that special someone in your life. 

  1. The Beet Mess

This is the cocktail recipe included in our February issue of French Gin Box, featuring Meunier's Gin, an award-winning gin from the French Alps.

  • 50 ml of Meunier's Gin
  • 50 ml beet juice
  • Juice of half a lime

Pour the ingredients into a shaker filled with ice cubes. Shake well and strain into a cup. Decorate with a slice of beetroot (optional).

  1. Sloe Gin fizz
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar
  • 44 ml lemon juice
  • 60 ml of sloe gin 
  • Sparkling water

Pour the ingredients into a shaker filled with ice cubes. Shake well and pour into a highball glass and top up with cold sparkling water.

  1. Martini in Granada

  • 30 ml pomegranate juice
  • Juice of half a lemon
  • 15 ml of simple syrup
  • 30 ml de gin

Pour the ingredients into a shaker filled with ice cubes. Shake well and strain into a chilled Martini glass. Decorate with pomegranate seeds (optional).

  1. The Wedding Bell
  • 15 ml orange juice
  • 15 ml cherry brandy (we suggest Gabriel Boudier)
  • 30 ml de dry gin 
  • 30 ml of Dubonnet

Pour the ingredients into a shaker filled with ice cubes. Shake well and strain into a cup.

  1. Negroni
  • 44 ml sweet, red vermouth (we suggest the Dolin)
  • 44 ml Campari bitters
  • 44 ml de gin

Pour the ingredients into a highball glass filled with ice cubes. Stir well and garnish with the orange peel.
