5 Gin Cocktails Perfect for Valentine’s Day13/02/19
Valentine’s Day is only a few days away. Forget the Champagne, here are some beautiful, red, gin-based cocktails to try with that special someone in your life.
1. The Beetroot Mess
This was the cocktail recipe included in our February French Gin Box, featuring Meunier’s Gin, an award-winning gin from the French Alps.
- 50 ml Meunier's Gin
- 50 ml beetroot juice
- Juice of ½ a lime
Pour ingredients into a shaker filled with ice. Shake well and strain into a chilled, coupe-style glass. Garnish with a slice of raw beetroot (optional).
2. Sloe Gin Fizz
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 44 ml lemon juice
- 60 ml sloe gin
- Soda water
Pour ingredients into a shaker filled with ice. Shake well and pour into a highball glass and top with cold soda water.3. Pomegranate Martini
- 30 ml pomegranate juice
- Juice of ½ a lemon
- 15 ml simple syrup
- 30 ml gin
Pour ingredients into a shaker filled with ice. Shake well and strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with fresh pomegranate seeds (optional).
4. Wedding Bell
- 15 ml orange juice
- 15 ml cherry brandy (we suggest Gabriel Boudier)
- 30 ml dry gin
- 30 ml Dubonnet
Pour ingredients into a shaker filled with ice. Shake well and strain into a chilled coupe-style glass.
Pour ingredients into an old-fashioned glass filled with ice. Stir well and garnish with an orange peel twist.
